City of Jeffers - City Council Meeting

The Jeffers City Council met in REGULAR session on November 9, 2009 at 7:00 PM at City Hall.

Present: Mayor Brad Prins; Council members: Curt Johnson, Roberta Duroe, Shawna Dorr-Jones, Curt Determan; Lance Holmen, Maintenance; Sharen Goeman, Clerk.

Visitor: Dennis Johnson – Wenck Associates

Mayor Prins called the meeting to order at 7:00 PM. Minutes of the October 26, 2009 meeting were approved as read.

Motion Dorr-Jones, second Duroe, unanimous vote to waive the $1,500 new water hookup fee for the county because of extenuating circumstances.

Motion Johnson, second Dorr-Jones, unanimous vote to have Wenck Associates start a preliminary report for the purpose of applying for funds to make water and sewer improvements.

Lance reported that Brandon Carter made the repairs in cold storage and will now check City Hall.

Curt Johnson presented the Fire Department Wages and Report.

Motion Duroe, second Determan, unanimous vote to pay the wages and approve the report.

The clerk will send a letter to a resident with a triple fine imposed for constructing a shed without first obtaining a building permit.

Motion Dorr-Jones, second Duroe, unanimous vote to pay all bills and approve the financial report.

Motion Johnson, second Determan, unanimous vote to adjourn at 8:37 p.m. having no further business. 123
