City of Jeffers - City Council Meeting

The Jeffers City Council met in REGULAR session on January 13, 2014 at 7:00 p.m. at City Hall.  Present:  Mayor Brad Prins; Council members: Roberta Duroe, Shawna Dorr-Jones, Curt Determan.  Sharen Goeman, Clerk.  Absent:  Sheila Ryker, Lance Holmen, Maintenance.

Mayor Prins called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m.  Minutes from the December 9, 2013 meeting were approved as read.

Old Business of cable television was discussed.  The clerk checked with Westbrook and Storden.  Westbrook has their own cable system and Storden gets their service from Mid Continental Communications.  The clerk placed a phone call to Mid Continental to get more information.

Dorr-Jones reported reading an ad for Rogotzke Communications was looking to provide services to Jeffers residents.  

The clerk will check with Lamberton and Rogotzke Communications.

The council reviewed the city offices for 2014.  Motion Determan, second Dorr-Jones, unanimous vote to add the Lamberton News as an official newspaper of the City of Jeffers.

Motion Dorr-Jones, second Duroe, unanimous vote to keep all other positions as is.

Cigarette licenses for Ryker’s and Jeffers Liquor along with Pool Table and Liquor Licenses for Jeffers Liquor were approved.  Motion Duroe, second Determan, unanimous vote.
