City of Jeffers - City Council Meeting

The Jeffers City Council met in REGULAR session on March 24, 2014 at 7:00 p.m. at City Hall.  Present:  Mayor Brad Prins, Roberta Duroe, Council members: Shawna Dorr-Jones, Curt Determan, Sheila Ryker, Lance Holmen, Maintenance.    Absent:  Sharen Goeman, Clerk

Mayor Prins called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m.  Minutes from the March 10, 2014 meeting were approved as read.

Old business of the Rural Service District was discussed.  It was decided to wait until the Truth and Taxation hearing, which is set for May 7, 2014 at 5:00 p.m.

Lance reported that the grader tank is here and hasn’t been installed yet.  

Requirements for playground equipment will be given to the Outlaw Committee.  These requirements were obtained from Lucy Swenson.

The insurance adjuster will follow-up with the council on the TBD items for the hail claim.

Hydrants will be flushed soon when the weather gets better.

Upcoming Repairs:  

Curb and gutter by the school needs to be repaired near where the water leak happened.
Water flow near Barkers
Main Street Crack filled, will talk with County.
Seal coating.  Streets haven’t been done since 2007.

Motion Dorr-Jones, second Duroe, unanimous vote to pay all bills and approve the financial report.
Motion Ryker, second Duroe, unanimous vote to adjourn at 7:35 p.m.
