The Jeffers City Council met in REGULAR session on October 27, 2014 at 7:00 p.m. at City Hall. Present: Mayor Brad Prins, Council members: Roberta Duroe, Sheila Ryker, Curt Determan, Lance Holmen, Maintenance. Sharen Goeman, Clerk. Absent: Shawna Dorr-Jones

Mayor Prins called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m. Minutes from the October 13, 2014 meeting were approved as read.

Visitor: Andy Murphree
Mr. Murphree was present to discuss his water bill.

2013-2014 Ambulance /First Responder Pay was presented for approval. Motion Determan, second Ryker, unanimous vote.

The clerk reported that the 2013 Audit was sent to the State Auditor by Burkhardts today.

The Winter Snow Agreement with Cottonwood County Highway was reviewed. Motion Ryker, second Duroe, unanimous vote to approve the agreement.

Halloween hours were set for Friday, October 31st from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Residents should turn on their porch light if they want to give out treats.

The curfew for Halloween is set for 10 p.m. to 6 a.m.

SMC asphalt patch work should happen sometime this week.

Bargen will do the street sweeping this week.

The mayor requested that the clerk calculate the fire department expenses.

The 2013-2014 Firemen’s’ pay was reviewed and submitted for approval. Motion Duroe, second Ryker, unanimous vote.

Motion Ryker, second Determan to pay the bills and approve the financial report. Unanimous vote. Motion Ryker, second Determan, unanimous vote to adjourn at 8:36 p.m. with no further business.
