City of Jeffers - City Council Meeting

The Jeffers City Council met in REGULAR session on November 24, 2014 at 7:00 p.m. at City Hall.  Present:  Mayor Brad Prins, Council members: Roberta Duroe, Shawna Dorr-Jones, Sheila Ryker, Curt Determan, Lance Holmen, Maintenance.   Sharen Goeman, Clerk.  

Mayor Prins called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m.  Minutes from the October 27, 2014 meeting were approved as read.

Visitor:  Mike Burkhardt

Mike Burkhardt presented the 2013 Audit.  Motion Dorr-Jones, second Duroe, unanimous vote to approve the 2013 Audit.

Building permit for David Determan to construct a 150’ Free Standing Communications Tower was reviewed.  Motion Ryker, second Duroe, unanimous vote.

Building permit for Haley Matzke to move a 14’x14’ shed on her property was reviewed.  Motion Ryker, second Duroe, unanimous vote.

Building permit for Chantelle Martin to construct a rubber building on their property was reviewed.  The council is requesting more information before approval.  Ms. Martin is requested to attend the next council meeting on December 8, 2014 at 8 p.m. to give more information on this structure.

Slim will also be asked to attend the next meeting to make sure all ordinances are followed.

Home Occupation permit for Stephanie Johnson to start a daycare business was reviewed.  Motion Ryker, second Dorr-Jones, unanimous vote.

Motion Dorr-Jones, second Determan to change the next council meeting on December 8, 2014 to 8 p.m. due to the elementary Christmas concert, unanimous vote.

Motion Dorr-Jones, second Ryker, unanimous vote to pay all bills and approve the financial report.

Motion Ryker, second Determan, unanimous vote to adjourn at 8:38 p.m. having no further business.
