City of Jeffers - City Council Meeting

The Jeffers City Council met in REGULAR session on January 11, 2016 at 7:00 p.m. at City Hall.

Present: Mayor Brad Prins, Council members: Roberta Duroe, Shawna Dorr-Jones, Curt Determan, Sheila Ryker, Sharen Goeman, Clerk. Absent: Lance Holmen.

Mayor Prins called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m. Minutes from the December 14, 2015 meeting were approved as read.

The council reviewed a building permit for a handicapped ramp on the property at 110 Whited Street with a steel roof. Motion Dorr-Jones, second Duroe, unanimous vote to Approve the permit pending Slims approval.

Mayor Prins spoke on the Fire Relief Association and the discussion was tabled.
Two estimates for the interior work on City Hall were opened. Motion Dorr-Jones, second Determan, unanimous vote to accept Kim Millers bid and to have him replace the sheet rock in the ambulance room as suggested.

The clerk will call Kim Miller to tell him his bid was accepted.
City offices were reviewed by the council.
Motion Dorr-Jones, second Determan to keep the city offices the same.

Motion Dorr-Jones, second Determan to pay all bills and approve the financial report. Unanimous vote.

Motion Ryker, second Determan to adjourn at 7:50 p.m. having no further business, unanimous vote.
The next city council meeting will be held on Tuesday, January 26, 2016 due to the public meeting for the Jeffers school building.
