City of Jeffers - City Council Meeting

The Jeffers City Council met in REGULAR session on January 26, 2016 at 7:00 p.m. at City Hall. Present: Mayor Brad Prins, Council members: Shawna Dorr-Jones, Curt Determan, Sheila Ryker, Sharen Goeman, Clerk, Lance Holmen, Maintenance. Absent: Roberta Duroe

Mayor Prins called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m. Minutes from the January 11, 2016 meeting were approved as read.
Motion Determan, second Ryker, unanimous vote the City of Jeffers does not waive the monetary limits on municipal tort liability.

Delinquent water bills were reviewed.

Lance reported that the ice skating rink won’t work this year. Weather conditions need to be perfect for this to work.

Dorr-Jones proposed that the city purchase the school’s playground equipment if the School closes.

MnDot would like to put honeysuckle bushes in the burn site from along Hwy 30. In return they would gravel and grade the driveway and watch the burn of the honeysuckle in the Spring.

Motion Dorr-Jones, second Determan, unanimous vote to pay all bills and approve the financial report.

Motion Ryker, second Determan, unanimous vote to adjourn at 7:52 p.m. having no further business.
