City of Jeffers - City Council Meeting

The Jeffers City Council met in REGULAR session on June 13, 2016 at 7:00 p.m. at City Hall. Present: Mayor Brad Prins, Council members: Roberta Duroe, Sheila Ryker, Curt Determan, Shawna Dorr-Jones. Sharen Goeman, Clerk, Lance Holmen, Maintenance.

Mayor Prins called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m. Minutes from the May 23, 2016 meeting were approved as read.

Kyle Ludewig’s fence permit was reviewed. Motion Ryker, second Dorr-Jones, unanimous vote.
Stoterau fence permit amendment was reviewed. Motion Duroe, second Ryker, unanimous vote

24 Picnic tables were purchased from Sam’s Club. The total will be split between the fire department, Outlaw Committee and the city.

A cement pad will be installed inside the shed to store the tables on.

Motion Dorr-Jones, second Ryker, unanimous vote to have Hydro Klean televise 2,740’ of 10” sanitary sewer.

Discussion was held on the siren.

Lawn mowing and the junk ordinance were discussed.

Trees in the alleys need to be trimmed to 12 feet from the center line of the alley. The clerk will include that with the next water bill. Residents will have until July 25th to complete before the city trims them and bills the property owners.

Bill Michel’s house on Whited Street will be on the list for demolition.

A certified letter will be sent to Elizabeth Stowe to take care of her property.

Motion Dorr-Jones, second Determan to pay all bills and approve the financial report. Unanimous vote.

Motion Ryker, second Determan, unanimous vote to adjourn at 8:50 p.m. having no further business.
