City of Jeffers - City Council Meeting

The Jeffers City Council met in REGULAR session on March 13, 2017. Present Mayor Brad Prins, Council members: Shawna Dorr-Jones, Curt Determan, Sheila Ryker, Jed Rhubee, Sharen Goeman, Clerk/Treasurer, Lance Holmen, Maintenance
Mayor Prins call the meeting to order at 7 p.m. The minutes from January February 27, 2017 were approved as read.
Discussion was held on the Jeffers school building. Tabled. The clerk will check into zoning of the school building.
The clerk presented a proposal for the Banyon payroll module. $2,290 including 6 hours of online training and annual support.
Motion Dorr-Jones, second Ryker, unanimous vote to approve the purchase of the Banyon payroll module. The annual support will be discontinued when no longer necessary.
The clerk gave a recap of the days the auditors where at the city. A personnel issue was discussed.
Spring Cleanup will be in May. The clerk and Lance will check with Hometown and Rons Recycling for the exact date.
Lance reported Tonka Water will cost approximately $1,600 to check water plant. Christmas decorations were discussed.
Lance reported that he only purchased 7 banners for the street lights instead of the reported 13.
Some electrical upgrades are needed at the ballfield. Extra blades have been ordered for the wing on the grader.
Motion Dorr-Jones, second Rhubee, unanimous vote to approve the financial report and pay the bills.
Motion Ryker, second Determan, unanimous vote to adjourn at 8:33 p.m. having no further business.
