City of Jeffers - City Council Meeting

The Jeffers City Council met in REGULAR session on April 24, 2017. Present Mayor Brad Prins, Council members: Shawna Dorr-Jones, Curt Determan, Sheila Ryker, Jed Rhubee, Sharen Goeman, Clerk/Treasurer, Lance Holmen, Maintenance

Visitor: Greg Burkhardt

Mayor Prins call the meeting to order at 7 p.m. The minutes from April 10, 2017 were approved as read.

Greg Burkhardt presented the 2016 Financial Audit for the City of Jeffers. Motion Determan, second Dorr-Jones, unanimous vote to approve the audit.

Motion Dorr-Jones, second Ryker unanimous vote to waive all assessments and taxes on parcel #21-414-1300.

Building permits for Janssen, Matzke and Barlow were reviewed by the council.

Motion Dorr-Jones, second Rhubee, unanimous vote to approve all permits.

The house at 220 S. Courthouse was discussed.

Motion Ryker, second Determan, unanimous vote that the house and garage located at 220 Courthouse Avenue S. are hazardous and unsafe.

RESOLUTION ORDERING THE REPAIR OR REMOVAL OF HAZARDOUS CONDITIONS LOCATED AT 220 COURTHOUSE AVENUE S., JEFFERS, MINNESOTA.

The house at 107 N. Best Avenue will be burned down by the fire department in the coming weeks.
Motion Dorr-Jones, second Determan unanimous vote to pay all bills and approve the financial report.

Motion Ryker, second Determan, unanimous vote to adjourn at 9:32 p.m. having no further business.
