City of Jeffers - City Council Meeting

The Jeffers City Council met in regular session on January 8, 2018. Present Mayor Brad Prins, Council members: Shawna Dorr-Jones, Curt Determan, Sheila Ryker, Jed Rhubee, Sharen Goeman, Clerk/Treasurer, Lance Holmen, Maintenance.
Mayor Prins call the meeting to order at 7 p.m. The minutes from December 11, 2017 were approved as read.
City offices were reviewed. Motion Ryker, second Dorr-Jones, unanimous vote to approve offices as provided.

The 2018 Pay Equity report was presented by the clerk. After review motion Dorr-Jones, second Rhubee, unanimous vote.

The city fees were reviewed. The fees will stay the same. Motion Rhubee, second Dorr- Jones unanimous vote to remove the home occupation fee.

Red Rock Rural Water updates were discussed.

Garbage and junk cars on the Kirst property were discussed. Lance will contact Hometown regarding the garbage.
 
 
The water tower stem was repaired and hail damage was discovered. The water tower will need to be inspected by a certified water tower company in order for a claim to be turned in to insurance
Motion Dorr-Jones, second Determan, unanimous vote to approve the financial report and pay the bills.

Motion Ryker, second Determan, unanimous vote to adjourn at 8:174 p.m. having no further business.
