City of Jeffers - City Council Meeting

The Jeffers City Council met in regular session on February 12, 2018 at Jeffers City Hall. Present Mayor Brad Prins, Council members: Sheila Ryker, Shawna Dorr-Jones, Curt Determan, Jed Rhubee, Sharen Goeman, Clerk, Lance Holmen, Maintenance.

Mayor Prins call the meeting to order at 7 p.m. The minutes from January 24, 2017 were approved as read.

Street lights were discussed. The city is responsible for the 13 street lights on Whited Street. It would cost approximately $250/light to switch to LED for a total of $3,250 for 13 lights.
Motion Rhubee to allow Lance to spend up to $5,000 for LED lights on Whited Street, second Determan, unanimous vote.

Lights at the city park were replaced last week.

DSI will be contacted to request a report regarding the number of houses and dollars spent in Jeffers.

The clerk has contacted MN Rural Water regarding possible financing options for Red Rock Rural Water transfer.

Motion Dorr-Jones, second Determan, unanimous vote to pay all bills and approve the financial report.

Motion Ryker, second Determan, unanimous vote to adjourn at 7:47 p.m. with no further business.
