City of Jeffers - City Council Meeting

The Jeffers City Council met in regular session on November 26, 2018 at Jeffers City Hall. Present: Mayor Brad Prins, Council members: Shawna Dorr-Jones, Sheila Ryker, Curt Determan, Jake Barlow, Lance Holman, Maintenance, Sharen Goeman, Clerk.

Mayor Prins called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m. The minutes from November 12, 2018 were approved as read.

RESOLUTION #2018-06 AUTHORIZING TRANSFERRING OF FUNDS  Transfer $20,000 from the General Fund to the Sewer Fund to synchronize accounting and budgeting procedures.
Adopted by Dorr-Jones, seconded by Ryker, unanimous vote.

RESOLUTION #2018-07 AUTHORIZING A LOAN BETWEEN FUNDS  The General Fund will loan $40,000 to the Water Fund.

Adopted by Determan, seconded Dorr-Jones, unanimous vote.

RESOLUTION #2018-08 APPROVING THE 2019 TAX LEVY, COLLECTIBLE IN 2019  Total Levy - $189,000
Adopted by Ryker, seconded by Determan, unanimous vote.

The ambulance contract from Westbrook Ambulance to serve the City of Jeffers was presented, motion Dorr-Jones, second Barlow, unanimous vote to approve the contract.

Lance reported that Red Rock Rural Water will do the switch over on November 27, 2018. Motion Dorr-Jones, second Determan, unanimous vote to pay all bills.

Motion Ryker, second Determan, unanimous vote to adjourn at 7:35 p.m. having no further business.
