City of Jeffers - City Council Meeting

The Jeffers City Council met in regular session on December 10, 2018 at Jeffers City Hall. Present: Mayor Brad Prins, Council members: Sheila Ryker, Curt Determan, Lance Holman, Maintenance. Absent: Shawna Dorr-Jones, Jake Barlow, Sharen Goeman, Clerk.

Mayor Prins called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m. The minutes from November 26, 2018 were approved as read.

RESOLUTION #2018-09 ADOPTING LIENS FOR UNPAID CHARGES - to be assessed to property owners beginning in 2019 Adopted by Curt Determan, pending correction on correct resident. Second, Ryker, unanimous vote

The city water has been switched to Red Rock Rural Water system. Lance requested new radial tires for the grader. The cost for tires, installation and disposal fee is just under $6,000.

Motion Determan, second Ryker, unanimous vote to purchase new tires.

Holmen also requested the purchased of new tools, battery and chargers to replace those that dont work.

Motion Ryker, second Determan, unanimous vote to purchase tools for public works.

Discussion was held regarding the existing building including and the fiberglass storage tanks.

Water bills and late notice and shut-off schedule were discussed. The clerk will provide at next meeting.

Motion Ryker, second Determan to cancel the December 24th meeting due to the holiday, unanimous vote.

Motion Determan, second Ryker to pay all bills for the rest of the year, unanimous vote.

Motion Ryker, second Determan, unanimous vote to adjourn at 8:00 p.m. having no further business.
