City of Jeffers - City Council Meeting

The Jeffers City Council met in regular session on April 22, 2019.

Present: Mayor Brad Prins, Council members: Shawna Dorr-Jones, Sheila Ryker, Jake Barlow. Sharen Goeman, Clerk. Absent: Curt Determan, Lance Holmen, Maintenance.

Visitor: Greg Burkhardt  Burkhardt & Burkhardt  City Auditor

Mayor Prins called the meeting to order at 7 p.m. The minutes from April 8, 2019 meeting were approved as read.

Auditor Greg Burkhardt presented the 2018 Financial Statement for the City of Jeffers.
Items addressed were:

 Collateral pledged by State Bank of Jeffers for city deposits
 Broker form from Edward Jones
 Response from County Auditor for certified assessments
 
Motion Dorr-Jones, second Ryker to approve the 2018 Financial Statement, unanimous vote.

Motion Ryker, second Barlow, unanimous vote to use Floor coat Midwest LLC to repair the water shutoffs and manholes at the cost of $3,000.

Board of Appeals meeting is set for Wednesday, May 8, 2019 at city hall - 5 p.m.

Special Meeting with Scandia Consulting Wednesday, May 8, 2019 at city hall  5:30 p.m.

Motion Dorr-Jones, second Barlow, unanimous vote to pay all bills.

Motion Ryker, second Barlow, unanimous vote to adjourn at 8:35 p.m. having no further business.
