City of Jeffers - City Council Meeting

The Jeffers City Council met in regular session on June 10, 2019. Present: Mayor Brad Prins, Council members: Shawna Dorr-Jones, Sheila Ryker, Curt Determan, Lance Holmen, Maintenance, Sharen Goeman, Clerk. Absent: Jake Barlow

Mayor Prins called the meeting to order at 7 p.m. The minutes from May 10, 2019 meeting were approved as read.

Letters will be sent to residents with tall weeds on their property. The clerk will check with the city attorney regarding safety issues on a building in town.

Motion Dorr-Jones, second Determan, unanimous vote that a resident with an expired building permit will be sent a bill for a renewed permit and a resident will be sent a triple fine for no building permit for fence and deck.

RESOLUTION #2019-06 APPROVING PARCELS FOR PUBLIC AUCTION

Adopted by Dorr-Jones, seconded Determan, unanimous vote.

A bid was received from the city of Lamberton for the catwalk and riser that is being taken out of service of $500.

Motion Determan, second Ryker, unanimous vote to accept the bid. Motion Dorr-Jones, second Determan, unanimous vote to pay all bills.

Motion Ryker, second Determan, unanimous vote to adjourn at 8:19 p.m. having no further business.
