City of Jeffers - City Council Meeting

The Jeffers City Council met in regular session on August 12, 2019. Present: Mayor Brad Prins, Council members: Shawna Dorr-Jones, Sheila Ryker, Curt Determan, Jake Barlow, Sharen Goeman, Clerk. Absent: Lance Holmen, Maintenance

Mayor Prins called the meeting to order at 7 p.m. The minutes from July 22, 2019 meeting were approved as read.

The clerk presented 10 year and 11 year options for refunding the $773,000 G.O. Improvement Refunding Bond, Series 2019A that Ehlers provided. Upon reviewing of the proposals, the council decided to go with the original 12 year option.

Motion Determan, second Dorr-Jones, unanimous vote to approve the proposed $773,000 G.O. Improvement Refunding Bonds, Series 2019A with a final maturity date of 02/01/2031.

The clerk will call the county to inspect the trailer at 207 W. Scott Street before Drayline removes it.

The Outlaw Committee presented a check to the City of Jeffers for $500 to go toward purchasing a new city sign.

Motion Dorr-Jones, second Determan, unanimous vote to pay all bills.

Motion Ryker, second Determan, unanimous vote to adjourn at 8:00 p.m. having no further business.
