City of Jeffers - City Council Meeting

The Jeffers City Council met in regular session on October 14, 2019. Present: Mayor Brad Prins; Council members: Shawna Dorr-Jones, Curt Determan, Jake Barlow, Sharen Goeman, Clerk. Absent: Council member Sheila Ryker, Lance Holman, Maintenance

Mayor Prins called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m. The minutes from September 23, 2019 were approved as read.

A residents sewer line was discussed that was plugged with tree roots and hadnt been fixed properly in the past. Motion Determan, second Dorr-Jones to pay 50% of the bill to repair line. Unanimous vote.

A Zoning Administrator is needed to replace the late Milford Sinnamon. The individual needs to be able to follow zoning ordinances and approve building permits.

Halloween hours will be from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. on October 31st. Trick or treat only at the houses with porch lights on. Curfew is from 11 p.m. to 6 a.m.

A building permit for a breezeway between house and garage was reviewed and approved pending a zoning administrators approval. Motion Dorr-Jones, second Determan, unanimous vote.

Motion Dorr-Jones second Determan, unanimous vote to pay all bills.

Motion Determan, second Barlow, unanimous vote to adjourn at 8:22 p.m. having no further business.
