City of Jeffers - City Council Meeting

 The Jeffers City Council met in regular session on November 11, 2019. Present: Mayor Brad Prins; Council members: Sheila Ryker Shawna Dorr-Jones, Curt Determan, Jake Barlow Sharen Goeman, Clerk. Lance Holman, Maintenance
 
Mayor Prins called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m. The minutes from October 28, 2019 were approved as read.

Larry Anderson, Cottonwood county commissioner from the first district was present to talk about the 150th Anniversary celebration for Cottonwood County that will happen next summer.

Anyone that it is interested in helping with this should attend the meeting on December 12th at 7 p.m. at the Cottonwood County Historical Society.

Anderson was also promoting the 2020 Census. It is very important that we get a complete count. Persons interested in helping with this should attend a meeting on Monday, November 18th at 6 p.m. at the Windom Community Center.

A building permit for a storage shed was reviewed. Motion Ryker, second Determan, unanimous vote.
The 2019 Fire pay was presented for approval. Motion Dorr-Jones, second Ryker, unanimous vote to approve the pay.

The street sweeping for the city may or may not happen this fall due to the early snow fall.
Motion Dorr-Jones second Determan, unanimous vote to pay all bills and approve the financial reports.

Motion Ryker, second Determan, unanimous vote to adjourn at 7:35 p.m. having no further business.
