The Jeffers City Council met in REGULAR session on October 11, 2010 at 7:00 PM at City Hall. Present: Mayor Brad Prins; Council members: Curt Johnson, Roberta Duroe, Shawna Dorr-Jones, Curt Determan; Lance Holmen, Maintenance; Sharen Goeman, Clerk.

Mayor Prins called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m. Minutes of the September 27, 2010 meeting were approved as read.
Ray Marsh and Dallas Giese were present to request the use of the City Hall to hold the legion and auxiliary meetings.
The council agreed to allow the legion and auxiliary to hold their meetings and store some items in city hall. No rent is charged to non-profit organizations for the use of city hall.
Craig from Wenck presented the pay request from Quam. The total request is $120,214.32. The city’s share is $96,529.77. The remainder of $23,638.54 is Cottonwood County’s share.
Motion Dorr-Jones, second Determan, unanimous vote to approve the pay request. The clerk will send the check to Cottonwood County and they will pay Quam.
Craig updated the council on the street improvement project. There are presently two crews working. The water line is in on Whited Street. Sanitary Sewer is complete from Courthouse to the east.
Lance reported the ponds are seeded and the fence will be completed this fall. He also discussed some issues with sewer lines and problems with Electric Pump.

Motion Duroe, second Determan, uananimous vote to set Halloween trick or treat hours for Saturday, October 30th from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Curfew is set for youth under 18 from 11:00 p.m. on both Saturday and Sunday, until 5:00 a.m. on Sunday and Monday.
The clerk will post these times at local businesses, city website, RRC website and the radio.
The clerk presented the Ambulance Wages and Report.
Motion Dorr-Jones, second Johnson to accept the wages and report, unanimous vote.
Mayor Prins reported that he spoke with Ronn Gregg from Cottonwood County and they have talked at length regarding putting in a new culvert on the north side of town.
Motion Dorr-Jones, second Determan, to pay all bills and approve the financial report.
Motion Johnson, second Duroe to adjourn at 8:28 p.m. having no further business.
