City of Jeffers - City Council Meeting

The Jeffers City Council met in REGULAR session on May 11, 2020 at 7:00 p.m. at City Hall. Present: Mayor Brad Prins, Council members: Shawna Dorr-Jones via phone, Sheila Ryker, Curt Determan, Jake Barlow, Lance Holmen, Maintenance. Absent: Sharen Goeman

Visitors: Shelby Arndtson

Mayor Prins called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m. Minutes from the April 27, 2020 meeting were approved as read.

Lance reported that an estimate was received by One Guy Painting to paint the city park shelter house. Motion Ryker, second Determan, unanimous vote to accept estimate.

The clerk will send letters to property owners regarding tires and appliances in their yards.

Motion Barlow, second Determan, unanimous vote to purchase a small power washer for public works.

A list will be started for junk cars.
The clerk will send a letter to all residents to trim trees in the alley. Residents should measure from the center line of the alley. 10 feet back and 12 feet high for emergency and utility vehicles.

A letter will be sent to a resident regarding his garage that collapsed.

No meeting on May 25th due to the Memorial Day holiday. Motion Dorr-Jones, second Barlow, unanimous vote to pay all bills.

Motion Determan, second Barlow to adjourn at 8:20 p.m. having no further business.
