City of Jeffers - City Council Meeting

The Jeffers City Council met in REGLAR session on August 10th at 7:00 p.m. at City Hall. Present: Mayor Brad Prins, Council members: Shawna Dorr-Jones, Sheila Ryker, Curt Determan, Jake Barlow, Sharen Goeman, Clerk, Sandy Olson, Animal Control, Absent: Lance Holmen
Visitors: Sue and Morgan Doeden, Dustin Rehnelt
Animal Control officer Sandy Olson was present to inform the council of the potentially dangerous dog owned by Morgan Doeden that has bitten two people within one week. Olson presented sheriff reports and findings, recommending that the council deem the dog as a dangerous dog.
Motion Determan, second Dorr-Jones, unanimous vote to deem the dog Maggie owned by Morgan Doeden as a dangerous dog.
Doeden must comply with the provisions for a dangerous dog and get back to the council on August 24th.
A building permit submitted by Lee Hanish was reviewed. Motion Barlow, second Dorr- Jones, unanimous vote pending approval by Lance Holmen.
Resolution #2020-09 AUTHORIZING TRANFERRING OF FUNDS
Transferring funds of $25,000 from the general fund to the fire fund to synchronize accounting and budgeting procedures.
Adopted: Dorr-Jones Seconded: Ryker
Discussion was held regarding the use of Coronavirus Relief funds.
The City of Jeffers will be receiving funds from the Coronavirus Relief Fund. There was discussion regarding the disbursement of these funds.
Motion Dorr-Jones, second Determan, unanimous vote to pay all bills
Motion Ryker, second Determan adjourn at 8:50 p.m. having no further business.
