City of Jeffers - City Council Meeting

The Jeffers City Council met in REGULAR session on October 12, 2020 at 7:00 p.m. at City Hall. Present: Mayor Brad Prins, Council members: Shawna Dorr-Jones, Sheila Ryker, Curt Determan, Jake Barlow, Sharen Goeman, Clerk, Lance Holmen, Maintenance

Mayor Prins called the meeting to order at 7 p.m. Minutes from the September 28, 2020 meeting were approved as read.

Visitor: Matt Langland

Langland was present to discuss an issue regarding animal control. A fine of $100 was set due to his second offense of dog at large.

A personnel issue was discussed.

Motion Dorr-Jones, second Determan, unanimous vote to change Liquor Ordinance #72 to Liquor Ordinance #73 due to an error in the numbering.

Bargen will be doing a few more heats and sweeping the streets this month. Halloween hours were set for Saturday, October 31st from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m.

The clerk will check with the auditor regarding financial aspects of a new fire hall. Motion Dorr-Jones, second Determan, unanimous vote to pay all bills.

Motion Ryker, second Barlow to adjourn at 8:02p.m. having no further business.
