City of Jeffers - City Council Meeting

The Jeffers City Council met in REGULAR session on May 10, 2021 at 7:00 p.m. at City Hall. Present: Mayor Brad Prins, Council members: Curt Determan and Shawna Dorr-Jones. Sharen Goeman, clerk. Lance Holmen, Maintenance. Absent: council members: Sheila Ryker, Jacob Barlow

Visitors: Jeffers Lions members

Mayor Prins called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m. Minutes from the April 26, 2021 meeting were approved as read.

The Jeffers Lions members were present to propose getting a new sign for the city of Jeffers. Lions club will donate $2,000 to the project. The council will check into options for the new sign.

The clerk presented an estimate from Banyon Data to transfer Read Center files to Beacon files for the new Beacon software. The estimate is $2,295.00.

Motion Dorr-Jones, second Determan, unanimous vote.

Lance reported the cost to do an overlay on the tennis and basketball courts in the park would cost $27,000. Other options will be researched.

Lance reported estimates on televising cameras.

Motion Dorr-Jones, second Determan, unanimous vote to pay all bills and approve the financial reports.

Motion Determan, second Dorr-Jones, unanimous vote to adjourn at 8 p.m. having no further business
