City of Jeffers - City Council Meeting

The Jeffers City Council met in REGULAR session on June 14, 2021, at 7:00 p.m. at City Hall. Present: Mayor Brad Prins, Council members: Shawna Dorr- Jones, Sheila Ryker, Sharen Goeman, clerk.
Absent: Council members Jacob Barlow, Curt Determan and Lance Holmen, Maintenance.

Mayor Prins called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m. Minutes from the May 24, 2021, meeting was approved as read.

Syd and his wife from Syds Signs of New Ulm held a presentation of options for the city.

The council will discuss and invite the Jeffers Lions to look at options and attend the next council meeting for a decision when Syd will return.

Gerardo Najera was present to ask if the council would forgive assessments on a parcel in the city. Motion Ryker, second Dorr-Jones, unanimous vote to forgive assessments on said property for Najera.
The clerk will check with the county auditor regarding the open well on the property.

A renewal of a building permit was reviewed and a new permit for a cement slab. Motion Dorr-Jones, second Ryker, unanimous vote.

The clerk will check with the City of Storden as to what they are doing for properties violating nuisance ordinance.

Motion Dorr-Jones, second Ryker, unanimous vote to pay all bills.
Motion Ryker, second Dorr-Jones, unanimous vote to adjourn at 8:08 p.m. having no further business
