City of Jeffers - City Council Meeting

The Jeffers City Council met in REGULAR session on June 28, 2021, at 7:00 p.m. at City Hall. Present: Mayor Brad Prins, Council members: Shawna Dorr- Jones, Sheila Ryker, Jacob Barlow, Curt Determan. Sharen Goeman, clerk. Lance Holmen, Maintenance.

Mayor Prins called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m. Minutes from the June 14, 2021, meeting was approved as read.

Visitors: Jeffers Lions, Sandy Olson, Sids Signs

Sid presented drawings of potential signs for the city. Discussion was held.

Motion Dorr-Jones, second Ryker, unanimous vote to purchase a new city sign from Sids Signs of New Ulm. The clerk will send a deposit of $6,000 to Sids Signs.

Animal Control Officer Olson was present to inform the council of the incident involving the dangerous dog owned by Louis & Carol Eastwood.

Motion Barlow, second Dorr-Jones, unanimous vote to proceed with the dangerous dog ordinance and have the dog euthanized.

Lance informed the council that the water tower needs maintenance. Motion Dorr-Jones, second Determan, unanimous vote to pay all bills.

Motion Ryker, second Determan, unanimous vote to adjourn at 8:47 p.m. having no further business
