City of Jeffers - City Council Meeting

The Jeffers City Council met in REGULAR session on July 12, 2021, at 7:00 p.m. at City Hall. Present: Mayor Brad Prins, Council members: Shawna Dorr- Jones, Sheila Ryker, Jacob Barlow, Curt Determan. Sharen Goeman, clerk. Absent: Lance Holmen, Maintenance.
Mayor Prins called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m. Minutes from the June 28, 2021, meeting was approved as read.
The clerk reported the details of the dangerous dog incident to the council. Eastwoods have requested a hearing.
Motion Determan, second Barlow, unanimous vote to set the hearing date of July 26, 2021, at 6:30 p.m. for the Eastwood dangerous dog.
Discussion was held on noxious weeds in the city. Several residents will be sent a letter to remove these weeds.
The clerk reported information on the Board of Appeal and Equalization training. A quorum, including at least one trained person is necessary to have a valid board of appeal and equalization meeting. Training must be completed by 5 p.m. on February 1, 2022.
Motion Dorr-Jones, second Determan, unanimous vote to pay all bills and approve the financial report.
Motion Ryker, second Determan, unanimous vote to adjourn at 7:35 p.m. having no further business.
