City of Jeffers - City Council Meeting

The Jeffers City Council met in REGULAR session on November 22, 2021, at 7:00 p.m. at City Hall.

Present: Mayor Brad Prins, Council members: Sheila Ryker, Shawna Dorr-Jones, Curt Determan, Jacob Barlow, Sharen Goeman, clerk. Absent Lance Holmen, maintenance.

Mayor Prins called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m. Minutes from the November 8, 2021, meeting were approved as read.

Visitor: Mark Meier  Jeffers Fire Department
Meier was present to report on the Fire Department annual meeting.

A unanimous decision to remove Mike Hansen from the Jeffers Fire Department.

Motion Ryker, second Dorr-Jones, unanimous vote to approve the removal of Hansen.

Motion Determan, second Ryker, unanimous vote to approve the Jeffers Fire Department ATV will be sold through a bidding process.

Mayor Prins reported that he staked out a 50 x 50 area on Ruth Ann Determans property for the city sign. Zieske Land Surveying Inc. will survey the area.

Motion Dorr-Jones, second Barlow, unanimous vote to approve the cigarette and pool tables licenses for the 2022 year.

Motion Dorr-Jones, second Determan, unanimous vote to pay all bills.

Motion Ryker, second Determan, unanimous vote to adjourn at 7:35 p.m. with no further business.
