City of Jeffers - City Council Meeting

The Jeffers City Council met in REGULAR session on April 25, 2022, at 7:00 p.m. at City Hall. Present: Mayor Brad Prins, Council members: Shawna Dorr-Jones, Sheila Ryker, Curt Determan, Sharen Goeman, Clerk, Lance Holmen, Maintenance Absent: Jacob Barlow.

Mayor Prins called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m. Minutes from the April 11, 2022, meeting was approved as read.

The clerk reported on the Jeffers Fire Department Relief Association after speaking with Danielle Berg. The clerk reported on the property on Whited Street.

Motion Determan, second Ryker, unanimous vote to approve a building permit for Curt Gohman.
Motion Determan, second Dorr-Jones, unanimous vote to approve a building permit for Darlene Ekstrom.
A property with nuisance violations was discussed. The clerk will send a letter requesting the owner to abate the problem.

Motion Determan, second Ryker, unanimous vote to increase the base rate for water to $25.00, due to the water fund operating at a deficit.

Motion Dorr-Jones, second Determan, unanimous vote to pay all bills.

Motion Ryker, second Determan, unanimous vote to adjourn at 7:46 p.m. with no further business.
