City of Jeffers - City Council Meeting

The Jeffers City Council met in REGULAR session on September 12, 2022, at 7:00 p.m. at City Hall.

Present: Mayor Brad Prins, Council members: Shawna Dorr-Jones, Sheila Ryker, Curt Determan, Jacob Barlow; Sharen Goeman, Clerk Lance Holmen, Maintenance.

Mayor Prins called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m. Minutes from the August 22, 2022, meeting was approved as read.

Motion Barlow, second Determan, unanimous vote to approve a 2% increase in the Levy for 2023.
The 2023 Budget was reviewed. Motion Dorr-Jones, second Ryker, unanimous vote to approve the projected 2023 budget.

The clerk reviewed the bonds that the city presently has.

$772,000 G.O. Improvement Refunding Bonds, Series 2019A ends February 2031 MN Public Facilities Authority $329,687 ends August 2029

$86,000 G.O. Water Revenue Note, Series 2018A ends in February 2024

Lance reported that Syds Signs will install the city sign this week. The old city sign south of Highway 30 will be used for city businesses.

Letters will be sent to residents with appliances being stored outside their homes. Motion Dorr-Jones to pay all bills, second Determan, unanimous vote.

Motion Ryker, second Barlow, unanimous vote to adjourn at 7:52 p.m. with no further business.
