City of Jeffers - City Council Meeting

The Jeffers City Council met in REGULAR session on February 13, 2023 at 7:00 p.m. at City Hall.

Present: Mayor Brad Prins, Council members: Curt Determan, Sheila Ryker, Shawna Dorr-Jones, Jacob Barlow, Natalie Pahl, Assistant Clerk. Absent Lance Holmen, Maintenance.
Mayor Prins called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m. Minutes from the January 24, 2023, meeting were approved as read.

Visitor: Melvin Lewis

Melvin Lewis attended meeting with complaints regarding water bill and loose dogs in the neighborhood.

Discussion was held on unlicensed, unused equipment and trucks on a property in downtown Jeffers. The clerk will send a letter to the owner stating the property needs to be cleaned up and the unlicensed, unused equipment needs to be removed.

Motion Determan, seconded by Ryker unanimous vote to no longer charge for pool table license starting in 2024.

There was a complaint concerning animal cruelty at a residence in the city. Motion Dorr Jones, second Barlow to pay all bills. Unanimous vote

Motion Ryker, second Determan. Unanimous vote to adjourn at 8:37 p.m. with no further business.
