City of Jeffers - City Council Meeting

The Jeffers City Council met in REGULAR session on July 10, 2023, at 7 p.m. at City Hall.
Present: Mayor Brad Prins, Council members: Curt Determan, Shawna Dorr-Jones, Sheila Ryker, Mike Schoper. Sharen Goeman, Clerk, Lance Holmen, Maintenance.

Mayor Prins called the meeting to order at 7 p.m. Minutes from the June 26, 2023, meeting was approved as read.

RESOLUTION #2023-05 RESOLUTION APPROVING PARCEL FOR PUBLIC AUCTION

Adopted: Dorr-Jones Second: Determan

The clerk reported that the property at 220 S. Courthouse is already zoned as Limited Industry in the very back, so a rezoning of that property is not necessary.

Lance reported he would like to purchase another lawn tractor soon.

The clerk will check with the city attorney on the status of some legal matters.

The clerk will send a letter to a resident regarding the condition of their garage.

A building permit was reviewed by the council. Motion Determan, second Ryker, unanimous vote.

Motion Dorr-Jones, second Determan, unanimous vote to pay all bills.

Motion Ryker, second Determan, unanimous vote to adjourn at 8:29 p.m. having no further business.
