City of Jeffers - City Council Meeting

The Jeffers City Council met in REGULAR session on June 10, 2024, at 7:00
p.m. at City Hall. Present: Mayor Brad Prins, Council members: Sheila Ryker,
Shawna Dorr-Jones, Michael Schoper, Curt Determan; Sharen Goeman, Clerk.
Lance Holmen, Maintenance.

Mayor Prins called the meeting to order at 7 p.m. Minutes from the May 13,
2024, meeting was approved as read.

RESOLUTION # 2024-04 AUTHORIZING TRANSFERRING OF FUNDS
Adopted: Dorr-Jones
Second: Ryker
Unanimously adopted.

Motion Determan, second Schoper to raise the drive-by garbage fee to $5.00,
unanimous vote.

Motion Determan, second Dorr-Jones, unanimous vote to raise the sewer rate
to $36.00.
RESOLUTION #2024-05 APPROVING PARCEL FOR PUBLIC AUCTION
Adopted: Ryker
Second: Determan
Unanimously adopted.

The council reviewed the modification of Ditch Benefits for Judicial Ditch #9.
The clerk will call Dylan Oeltjenbruns, Drainage Inspector to get more
information.

Lance presented a proposed ordinance for council review for the reduction of
clear water in the sanitary sewer system for inflow and infiltration. The
proposed ordinance was tabled until the next meeting.

The city will be sending letters to property owners with noxious weeds on
their property.

Motion Dorr-Jones, second Determan, unanimous vote to pay all bills with
check #s 3315e-3317e and 23403  23432.

Motion Ryker, second Determan to adjourn the meeting at 8:25p.m. having no
further business.
