City of Jeffers - City Council Meeting

The Jeffers City Council met in REGULAR session on July 22, 2024, at 7:00 p.m.
at City Hall. Present: Mayor Brad Prins, Council members: Sheila Ryker,
Shawna Dorr-Jones, Michael Schoper, Curt Determan; Sharen Goeman, Clerk.
Absent: Lance Holmen, Maintenance.

The council reviewed options for placement of the fire hall. A decision was
made to select Concept 2 presented by Heidi Austin of The Design Group with
an additional 30 feet added to the north of the design or equal to 60 feet.

Mayor Prins will report back to Austin with the decision.

The contact with Red Rock Rural water from 2018 was discussed. Mayor
Prins will speak with Dominic Jones.

A fine will be sent to a resident regarding her dogs running loose on several
occasions.

Motion Determan, second Schoper to approval a building permit to move a
driveway. Unanimous approval pending Lances approval. Ryker abstained.
The council requests that Lance spray weekly for mosquitos. Lance will
document the amount he sprays for FEMA.

Motion Dorr-Jones, second Determan, unanimous vote to pay all bills with ck
#s 003337E and #023474-#023482

Motion Ryker, second Determan to adjourn the meeting at 8:27 p.m. having no
further business.
