City of Jeffers - City Council Meeting

The Jeffers City Council met in REGULAR session on August 12, 2024, at 6:00
p.m. at City Hall. Present: Mayor Brad Prins, Council members: Sheila Ryker,
Shawna Dorr-Jones, Michael Schoper, Curt Determan; Sharen Goeman, Clerk.

Absent: Lance Holmen, Maintenance.
Visitor: Jed Rhubee, Jeffers Fire Chief
Rhubee was present to update the council on the fire department.

Building permits were reviewed by the council. Motion Determan, second
Schoper, unanimous vote to approve building permits for Anderson and
Hoscheid.

A fence permit was reviewed. A variance will need to be completed by the
property owner and motion to approve the permit pending Lance’s approval.
Motion Determan, second Schoper, unanimous vote.

Resolution #2024-05 APPOINTING ELECTION JUDGES FOR THE AUGUST 13,
2024, PRIMARY AND NOVEMBER 5, 2024, GENERAL ELECTION,
DESIGNATING POLLING PLACE AND SETTING OF POLLING HOURS.

Unanimous vote.

A fine will be imposed on a resident for continuously letting her dogs run.
Motion Dorr-Jones, second Ryker, unanimous vote to pay the bills and
approve the financial report. Check #023488-023501

Motion Ryker, second Determan, unanimous vote to adjourn at 7:38 p.m.
