City of Jeffers - City Council Meeting

The Jeffers City Council met in REGULAR session on August 26, 2024, at 7:00
p.m. at City Hall. Present: Mayor Brad Prins, Council members: Sheila Ryker,
Shawna Dorr-Jones, Michael Schoper, Curt Determan; Sharen Goeman, Clerk.
Lance Holmen, Maintenance.

Visitor: Jed Rhubee, Jeffers Fire Chief

Rhubee was present to request the purchase of a Torpedo Nozzle for the fire
department. Rhubee showed a video of the product to the council.

Motion Ryker, second Dorr-Jones, unanimous vote to purchase the nozzle at a
cost of $3,487.

A building permit for a garage was reviewed by the council. Motion Dorr-
Jones, second Schoper, unanimous vote to approve the building permit.
A workers comp claim will be submitted for an employee.

A fine will be imposed on a resident for continuously letting her dogs run.
Motion Dorr-Jones, second Determan unanimous vote to pay the bills and
approve the financial report. Check #023506-023515.

Motion Ryker, second Determan, unanimous vote to adjourn at 8:08 p.m.
