City of Jeffers - City Council Meeting

The Jeffers City Council met in a REGULAR session on November 11, 2024, at
7:00 p.m. at City Hall. Present: Mayor Brad Prins, Council members: Sheila
Ryker, Shawna Dorr-Jones, Michael Schoper; Sharen Goeman, Clerk. Absent:
Curt Determan  Council; Lance Holmen, Maintenance.

The council discussed lighting in front of City Hall. Additional lights will be
added to increase security and safety to city hall.

Taylor Family Farms Foundation awarded a $30,000 grant to the City of
Jeffers for the Jeffers Fire Department.

Motion Dorr-Jones, second Schoper, unanimous vote to approve the cigarette
and liquor licenses for the City of Jeffers.

A resident will be sent a letter regarding the number of dogs a resident can
have and to clean up their yard.

A letter from Bolton & Menk regarding the MN PFA 2025 Drinking Water
Revolving Fund Intended Use Plan was received. The Jeffers Water Tower
Rehab project is currently not eligible at this time for PFA funds. The clerk will
send a letter to the PFA to keep the project under consideration by the PFA
and not USDA Rural development.

A snow fence was discussed for the west side of County 4 on the future Fire
Department Hall property.

Motion Dorr-Jones, second Schoper unanimous vote to pay the bills and

Motion Ryker, second Schoper unanimous vote to adjourn at 7:44 p.m. having
no further business.
