City of Jeffers - City Council Meeting

The Jeffers City Council met in a REGULAR session on November 25, 2024, at 7:00 p.m. at
City Hall. Present: Mayor Brad Prins, Council members: Sheila Ryker, Shawna Dorr-Jones,
Curt Determan, Michael Schoper; Sharen Goeman, Clerk, Lance Holmen, Maintenance.

The clerk presented the 2024 Fire pay. Motion Dorr-Jones, second Ryker, unanimous vote.
A recommendation to remove Reid Feil from the Jeffers Fire Department was reviewed.
Motion Ryker, second Schoper, unanimous vote to remove Feil.

Motion Dorr-Jones, second Ryker to increase the pay for Jeffers Fire Department calls,
meetings, and training hours from $12/ hour to $15/ hour. Unanimous vote.

The council reviewed the Joint Powers Cannabis Oriented Business and Land Use
ordinance. Motion Determan, second Schoper, unanimous vote to approve.

The council reviewed a voting operation, technology & election resources county/
municipality agreement. Motion Dorr-Jones, second Determan to approve agreement,
unanimous vote.

The council reviewed a proposal for engineering services provided by Pinpoint. The clerk
will send the contract to Ron Schramel for review.

Letters will be sent to residents regarding semis parked in residential areas.

Motion Dorr-Jones, second Determan to pay the bills and approve the financial report.
