City of Jeffers - City Council Meeting

The Jeffers City Council met in REGULAR session on February 14, 2011 at 7:00 p.m. at City Hall.  Present:  Mayor Brad Prins, Council members:  Roberta Duroe, Shawna Dorr-Jones, Curt Determan, Sheila Ryker; Lance Holmen, Maintenance; Sharen Goeman, Clerk. 

Mayor Brad Prins called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m.  Minutes of the January 24, 2011 meeting were approved as read.

Visitor:  Rory Lindvall, Cottonwood County Highway Department

Rory was present to present a resolution for the paving of CSAH 32
Showing proposed alignment, profiles, grades and cross sections for the construction, reconstruction or improvement of CSAH 32 within the limits of the city as a Federal State Aid.

Motion Dorr-Jones, second Determan, unanimous vote.

Rocky Kollar, Mayor of Westbrook spoke with Brad about the community of Jeffers helping to restock the food shelf in Westbrook.  Many Jeffers residents are using the food shelf.

The clerk will include a note on the water bill and post signs around town.

Two proposals from Banyon Data Systems, Inc. were reviewed by the council:

· Fund Accounting, 1 day of training, annual support  $4,024.40
· Meter Device Interface, Annual Support   $1,592.44

After some discussion, motion Duroe, second Dorr-Jones, unanimous vote, to accept the proposals.

Lance reported that the new pump has been installed and the old pump will be reconditioned.

The clerk will send a letter to a resident regarding a snowmobile trailer parked on the street, as it is in the way for snow removal.

Motion Dorr-Jones, second Determan, unanimous vote to pay all bills and approve the financial report.

Motion Ryker, second Duroe, unanimous vote to adjourn at 8:45 p.m. having no further business.
