The Jeffers City Council met in REGULAR session on February 28, 2011 at 7:00 p.m. at City Hall. Present: Mayor Brad Prins, Council members: Roberta Duroe, Shawna Dorr-Jones, Curt Determan, Sheila Ryker; Lance Holmen, Maintenance; Sharen Goeman, Clerk.
Mayor Brad Prins called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m. Minutes of the February 14, 2011 meeting were approved as read.
Visitor: Craig Mueller, Wenck
Craig was present to present 2011 Jeffers Street & Utility Improvements, which includes paving and patching areas on Woodman, Scott, Deaver, Clark, Best, Duroe and Courthouse. Also presented was a Woodman Street Water main cost estimate. Total cost: $171,820.63.
Discussion was held on this topic and tabled until March 14, 2011 when Craig will be present with additional information.
Shawna discussed when the City should hold Spring Clean-up Day. May 6th was chosen as the 1st choice and May 13th as second choice. It will be conducted the same as 2010. Residents will prepay $20 at the clerk’s office if they wish to be put on the list of scheduled stops for that day. Excessive piles will be charged an extra fee.
The clerk will schedule Clean-up Day with Hometown Sanitation and Lance will contact Eagle Appliance.
Motion Dorr-Jones, second Ryker, unanimous vote to pay all bills and approve the financial report.
Motion Ryker, second Determan, unanimous vote to adjourn at 8:46 p.m. having no further business.
