City of Jeffers - City Council Meeting

Jeffers City Council met in the REGULAR session on August 25, 2025, at 7 p.m. at City Hall.

Present: Mayor Brad Prins; Council members: Sheila Ryker, Shawna Dorr-Jones, Michael
Schoper ; Lance Holmen, Maintenance. Absent: Curt Determan, Council Member and
Sharen Goeman, Clerk.

Mayor Prins called the meeting to order at 7 p.m. Minutes from August 11, 2025, meeting
was approved as read.

Mayor Prins reported no news on the appropriations for the fire hall.

Public Works: Lance reported that he contacted Blue Stem to inform them that the DNR
and the City Council approved his proposal for trees. Blue Stem plans to plant trees this fall.
The clerk was instructed to send letters to two residents regarding nuisance code
violations on their property.

Lance will order a new sign for the compost site.

Financial Report and Bills:

Motion: Dorr-Jones, second: Determan  Unanimous vote to pay all bills and approve the
financial report.

Adjournment:
Motion: Ryker, second: Determan  Unanimous vote to adjourn the meeting at 7:45 PM.
