City of Jeffers - City Council Meeting

Jeffers City Council met in the REGULAR session on September 8, 2025, at 7
p.m. at City Hall. Present: Mayor Brad Prins; Council members: Sheila Ryker,
Shawna Dorr-Jones, Michael Schoper ; Lance Holmen, Maintenance. Sharen
Goeman, Clerk. Absent: Curt Determan, Council Member

Mayor Prins called the meeting to order at 7 p.m. Minutes from August 25,
2025, meeting was approved as read.

The city council reviewed the proposed Levy for 2026.

Motion Schoper, second Dorr-Jones to increase the Levy for 2026 by 2%,
unanimous vote.

The council reviewed the proposed budget for 2026. Motion Ryker second
Schoper unanimous vote to approve the proposed budget for 2026 as
presented.

Mayor Prins reported that no Jeffers Fire Department member is interested in
the old Jeffers Fire Truck.

Motion Schoper to sell the old fire truck to Ron Willard for $500, second
Ryker, unanimous vote.

Motion to pay all bills and approve the financial report Dorr-Jones, second
Schoper, unanimous vote.

Motion Ryker, second Schoper, unanimous vote to adjourn at 7:20 p.m.
