City of Jeffers - City Council Meeting

Jeffers City Council met in the REGULAR session on November 10, 2025,
at 7 p.m. at City Hall. Present: Mayor Brad Prins; Council members: Sheila
Ryker, Shawna Dorr-Jones, Michael Schoper, Curt Determan; Lance Holmen,
Maintenance. Sharen Goeman, Clerk.

Mayor Prins called the meeting to order at 7 p.m. Minutes from October 27,
2025, meeting was approved as read.

Visitors: Kaitlyn Oltmans, Rod Rindfleisch

The visitors were present to discuss the killing of their dog in the front yard
by two other dogs.

Motion Schoper, second Determan to declare the dogs dangerous dogs
pending owner and dogs identification, unanimous vote.

The clerk will forward information to the city attorney.

The clerk will send a warning letter to a resident for dog off leash.

The clerk will send a fine to a resident for dog off leash.

Water rates were discussed. Motion Ryker, second Dorr-Jones to raise the
water rate per 1,000 gallons to $4.97 effective January 1, 2026. Unanimous
vote.

The fire pay was reviewed. Motion Dorr-Jones, second Schoper, unanimous
vote pending rate change on report.

Motion Dorr-Jones, second Determan to pay all bills and approve the financial
report.

Motion Ryker, second Determan , unanimous vote to adjourn at 8:10p.m.
having no further business.
