City of Jeffers - City Council Meeting

The Jeffers City Council met in REGULAR session on March 9, 2026, at 7 p.m. at City
Hall. 

Present: Mayor Brad Prins, Council members: Curt Determan, Shawna Dorr-
Jones, Sheila Ryker, Michael Schoper. Sharen Goeman, Clerk. Lance Holmen,
Maintenance .

Mayor Prins called the meeting to order at 7:15 p.m. Minutes from February 23,
meeting were approved as read.

Visitors: Dylan Piotter

Piotter was present to inquire from the council if he could connect to the City of
Jeffers water line. Council approved Piotter connecting and advised him to check
with Jeffers Drayline for cost. Piotter should let Lance know when he has decided.
Lance reported he had found a pump for the ponds. It will cost approximately
$22,967 installed.

Motion Schoper, second Ryker, unanimous vote to purchase the pump.

Lance also reported that there is a frost boil on south Moffett Street that he will have
Jeffers Drayline dig out.

City wide Cleanup will take place on Saturday, April 18th. The payment to get on the
list of $20 should be done by April 16th

. Cottonwood County will be picking up any
mattresses on Friday, April 17th

Motion Dorr-Jones, second Determan, unanimous vote to pay the bills and approve
the financial report.
Motion Ryker, second Determan, unanimous vote to adjourn at 7:47 p.m. having no
further business.
