City of Jeffers - City Council Meeting

Jeffers City Council met in REGULAR session on July 13, 2026, at 7 p.m. at City Hall. 

Present:
Mayor Brad Prins, Council members: Shawna Dorr-Jones, Sheila Ryker, Michael Schoper, Curt
Determan . Sharen Goeman, Clerk. Lance Holmen, Maintenance.

Mayor Prins called the meeting to order at 7:00p.m. Minutes from June 22, 2026, meeting were
approved as read.

The clerk informed the council that the dangerous dog from 211 W. Clark Street suffered a broken
leg and was taken to the Slayton Vet Clinic to be put down.

The clerk will send letters to residents regarding garbage and lawn mowing.

Lance reported that the pump was replaced at the ponds. He will check on purchasing security
cameras.

A building permit for a fence was reviewed and approved. Motion Determan, second Schoper,
unanimous vote.

Seal coat and mastics of city streets were discussed.

Motion Dorr-Jones, second Determan unanimous vote to pay the bills and approve the financial
report.

Motion Ryker, second Determan to adjourn at 7:56 p.m. having no further business.
