City of Jeffers - City Council Meeting

Jeffers City Council met in REGULAR session on September 14, 2026, at 7 p.m. at City Hall.
Present: Mayor Brad Prins, Council members: Shawna Dorr-Jones, Curt Determan, Sheila Ryker, Sharen Goeman, Clerk. Lance Holmen, Maintenance. Absent: Council Michael Schoper
Mayor Prins called the meeting to order at 7:00p.m. 

Minutes from August 24, 2026, meeting were
approved as read.

A disputed water bill was discussed. Motion Determan second Ryker, to apply a $10 credit to residents bill. Unanimous vote.

The proposed 2027 Budget was reviewed by the council. Motion Dorr-Jones, second Determan,
unanimous vote to approve the proposed budget.

The proposed 2027 Levy was discussed. Motion Determan, second Dorr-Jones to increase the levy by 4%. Unanimous vote.

Lance reported he has contacted a contractor to repair the playground equipment and proceed with the repair.

Cameras are on order for the park.

The council discussed dirt bikes and the reckless driving that has been happening.
Motion Dorr-Jones, second Determan unanimous vote to pay the bills and approve the financial report.

Motion Ryker, second Schoper to adjourn at 8 p.m. having no further business.
