City of Jeffers - City Council Meeting

The Jeffers City Council met in REGULAR session on November 14, 2011 at 7:00 p.m. at City Hall. Present: Mayor Brad Prins, Council members: Roberta Duroe, Sheila Ryker, Curt Determan, Lance Holmen, Maintenance. Sharen Goeman, Clerk. Absent: Shawna Dorr-Jones

Mayor Brad Prins called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m. Minutes of the October 24, 2011 meeting were approved as read.

The Cottonwood County Winter Agreement was received from the county. It was reviewed and no changes were made from previous years. Motion Duroe, second Determan, unanimous vote to approve the Cottonwood County Winter Agreement.

The Animal Control Officer’s annual reimbursement was discussed. Motion Determan, second Ryker to raise the annual reimbursement to $250 effective January 1, 2012. Unanimous vote.

The 2011 Fireman’s Pay was reviewed. Motion Ryker, second Duroe, unanimous vote to approve the Fireman’s pay.

The Clerk reported that the Pay Equity report is due to the State on January 31, 2012. It can be done online.

New Christmas banners were discussed. Lance will check with the Outlaw committee to see where they are purchasing theirs.

Westbrook will come on Wednesday to sweep the streets. Lance will flush the hydrants on Wednesday. The moboard is complete on the grader. Lance suggested getting 2 new drive tires and new headlights for the grader. The council agreed.

The new pump at the pond will get new wiring and then both pumps will be running at the same efficiency.

Motion Duroe, second Determan to pay all bills and approve the financial report. Unanimous vote.

Motion Ryker, second Determan to adjourn at 8:23 p.m. having no further business.
