City of Jeffers - City Council Meeting

The Jeffers City Council met in REGULAR session on December 12, 2011 at 7:00 p.m. at City Hall. Present: Mayor Brad Prins, Council members: Shawna Dorr-Jones , Roberta Duroe, Sheila Ryker, Curt Determan, Lance Holmen, Maintenance. Sharen Goeman, Clerk.

Motion Dorr-Jones, second Ryker, unanimous vote that the CITY DOES NOT WAIVE THE MONETARY LIMITS ON MUNICIPAL TORT LIABILITY ESTABLISHED BY MINNESOTA STATUES 466.04.

The waiver form was signed and will be returned to First Security.

Motion Dorr-Jones, second Duroe, unanimous vote to cancel the December 26, 2011 council meeting due to the Christmas holiday.

RESOLUTION #2011-07 was presented adopting a lien for unpaid charges on the property parcel # 21-417-0180 of $175.00.

Motion Duroe, second Determan, unanimous vote.

RESOLUTION #2011-08 was presented adopting a lien for 2011 Special Assessments.

Dorr-Jones reported that the Zoning/Planning Commission meeting was changed to January 19, 2012 at 1 p.m.

Lance presented information on the grant from the state. It was determined that the city would probably not be eligible.

Lance requested permission to purchase a cordless sawzall for approximately $100 and a new air compressor for $200-$300. The council agreed.

Motion Dorr-Jones, second Ryker, unanimous vote to pay all bills and approve the financial report and give the clerk permission to pay any other bills due by December 31, 2011. Unanimous vote.

Motion Ryker, second Determan to adjourn at 7:55 p.m. having no further business.
