City of Jeffers - City Council Meeting

The Jeffers City Council met in REGULAR session on February 13, 2012 at 7:00 p.m. at City Hall. Present: Mayor Pro-Tem Roberta Duroe, Council members: Shawna Dorr-Jones, Sheila Ryker, Curt Determan, Lance Holmen, Maintenance. Sharen Goeman, Clerk. Absent: Mayor Brad Prins

Mayor Pro-Tem Roberta Duroe called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m. Minutes from the January 23, 2012 meeting were approved with correction that Shawna Dorr-Jones abstained when voting on pay and pay increases for the zoning commission.

Auditor Mike Burkhardt will be holding training sessions with the clerk for a few months. Motion Dorr-Jones, second Ryker, 3 yes votes, 1 oppose. Motion carried.

The clerk presented Resolution #2012-01 RESOLUTION DECLARING FUND BALANCE POLICY IN ACCORDANCE WITH GASB 54.

Motion Determan, second Dorr-Jones, unanimous vote to approve the resolution.

The clerk informed the council that the City of Jeffers has been selected to be a recipient of a federal Election Assistance for Individuals with Disabilities grant in the amount of $37.50 to be used for 4 (four) magnifiers.

Motion Dorr-Jones, second Determan, unanimous vote to pay all bills and approve the financial report.

Motion Ryker, second Determan, unanimous vote to adjourn at 7:44 p.m. having no further business.
