City of Jeffers - City Council Meeting

The Jeffers City Council met in REGULAR session on July 9, 2012 at 7:00 p.m. at City Hall. Present: Mayor Brad Prins, Council members: Roberta Duroe, Sheila Ryker, Shawna Dorr-Jones, Curt Determan, Lance Holmen, Maintenance, Sharen Goeman, Clerk.

Visitors: Mike Burkhardt

Mayor Prins called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m. Minutes from the June 25, 2012 meeting were approved as read.

Michael Burkhardt, City Auditor presented the 2011 Audit to the Council. Burkhardt recommended that the city close the water and sewer checking accounts and roll them over into a General Checking account.

Motion Dorr-Jones, second Ryker, unanimous vote to close the city’s water and sewer checking accounts and roll them into a general checking account.

Motion Dorr-Jones, second Duroe, unanimous vote to approve the Audited Financial Statements for 2011.

Lance spoke with MR Paving and Knife River regarding paving Woodman. He is waiting for responses from both companies before the city can proceed. Discussion was held regarding treating Woodman with dust control.

Delinquent water accounts were discussed

Mayor Prins reported that the tile near the Determan’s tower has been repaired.

Motion Dorr-Jones, second Ryker to pay all bills and approve the financial report, unanimous vote.

Motion Ryker, second Determan, unanimous vote to adjourn at 8:30 p.m. having no further business.
